I love time travels and this one was unusual as more than one "back in time" takes place. The character is a romance writer which makes reading the book even more interesting. Story becomes quite suspenseful, it's not always a happy circumstance which I like so you can not predicit the story BUT I will say the ending left me flat. Will not give it away but there was so much more I would have preferred happen than the quick close and unrealistic ending. ( )

Das Einführungskapitel enthält einen interessanten, humorvollen und überraschenden Einblick in den Beruf einer Romance-Autorin. Das allein schon hebt das Buch aus der Masse heraus.

CR 1994; the historical time travelling plot going back into the 16th and the 19th century make this love story endurable and pretty good to read. I've tried another of her stories but to no avail, if one is not really a fan of romance. ( )

I loved this book. You do not have to be a fan of romance novels to appreciate this book. I feel that Remembrance belongs in the general fiction catagory more than it does in the romance section. This is not to say that Remembrance is not a love story; it is. It is more than just a love story though. Remembrance is a grand, sweeping saga about two people meant to be together who are trying to find each other throughout eternity and includes all the heartache and hardship each one encounters throughout the ages. This story includes love, lust, betrayal, jealousy, and time travel. I could not put this book down. ( )

This is not well-written or well-done, but it is what you'd expect. It's sad there's not more out there on the caliber of Outlander, but the fact is most of what I've found in time travel fiction is pretty bad, despite how much I love it. ( )

Amazon.com Book Description (ISBN 0671744593, Hardcover)

Bestselling romance writer Hayden Lane has just lost the "perfect" man, but what real man could compete with the dark intriguing character she writes about. But when a psychic tells her that Hayden has had a past life, she yearns to know more, and despite the psychic's warnings, Hayden cannot let this go.

In an effort to learn about her past, Hayden is hypnotized, but instead of merely remembering, she awakens in Edwardian England and immediately faints. But when she wakes up again, she will embark on an adventure beyond her wildest dreams -- and will have the chance at a love so rapturous that it defies the boundaries of time...

Suffused with Jude Deveraux's trademark warmth, humor, and tender sensuality, Remembrance is an unforgettable tale of a remarkable woman and the one man who was her destiny.
