I've always been interested in reading time travel romances ever since I read "The Wishing Chalice" and this one I still remember from time to time. I used to make fun of my friends reading romance novels back in high school, and it's only now that I've come to appreciate what the fuss is about. The writing style was very efficient, modern but it took me to a time warp where everything is vivid and alive, it's almost as if I was eavesdropping. It has a happy ending for everyone although there was a little drama, a little humor helped too. I can't help but wonder if such a character exists and I'm starting to have fantasies of my own about it. I'll definitely reading again, this one's a classic and a fine piece of literature at that. The original time travel romance. It is my favorite Devereaux book, i always recommend it. I loved this book. This was the first book I read by her. I cried so hard throughout the entire thing. I love Nicholas' character, especially when she made him the brownies xD. I liked the entire theme of time travel. I usually don't like modern romance, but this was an awesome balance of both. I love how Jude goes into awesome detail of the historical clothing and lifestyle. I loved this book. This was the first book I read by her. I cried so hard throughout the entire thing. Once upon a time...
...as a fair maiden lay weeping upon a cold tombstone, her heartfelt desire was suddenly made real before her: tall, broad of shoulder, attired in gleaming silver and gold, her knight in shining armor had come to rescue his damsel in distress....
A Knight in Shining Armor
Jude Deveraux's beloved bestseller has captivated readers the world over; now in a special edition featuring new material, this timeless love story greets a new generation. She never dreamed that a love more powerful than time awaited her there...until Nicholas Stafford, Earl of Thornwyck, a sixteenth-century knight, appeared. Drawn to him by a bond so sudden and compelling that it defied reason, Dougless knew that Nicholas was nothing less than a miracle: a man who would not seek to change her, who found her perfect just as she was. But she could not know how strong were the chains that tied them to the past -- or the grand adventure that lay before them.

Back Cover Blurb:
Dougless Montgomery couldn't believe it. She had tried to be the very essence of the modern American woman - competent, financially independent - yet ready to love and be loved. She had planned this holiday to England with special care, wanting everything to be perfect for Robert, the man she hoped to marry. Yet, after a stupid quarrel, he had abandoned her in a churchyard in the midst of rural England. With no luggage, no money nor credit cards. Dougless, angry and frustrated, longs for a knight in shining armour to rescue her from her abysmal predicament. Suddenly, as if in answer to her prayers, the most extraordinary man stood before her.....He was Nicholas Stafford, Earl of Thornwyck, who according to his tombstone had died in 1564. (
