Yep, I'm reading #250 today! ... I grew to like Door, and even Richard. The book itself is a bit predictable at times, but not enough to spoil it.
The Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman, 4 ½ stars. This is a moving, haunting novel that will make you cry. There is so much sadness, so many tragic things that happen, but ... I got this week Song For The Butcher's Daughter, The Secret Scripture, The Spies of Warsaw, The Story Sisters and I think thats it. Someone please stop me from going into Borders... We must not be in the minority regarding Alice Hoffmann. I am #16 on the waiting list at my local library for The Story Sisters. I'm another Alice Hoffman fan. The Story Sisters sounds like a good one and I'm adding to the wishlist. Thanks for the excellent review. Book No. 104

Anyway, I purchased Story Sisters for myself because it was offered at 50% off from Barnes & Noble. Then I purchased the Joy of Cooking for a wedding shower gift, and His Majesty's Dragon and Throne of Jade for a ... ... - I read it several years ago and enjoyed it. Did you know Alice Hoffman has a new book coming out shortly? The Story Sisters. I just love her, too. I went to a reading/signing when The Third Angel came out. She was very personable.
