... you liked Raven Black! I love the Shetland Island location and Jimmy Perez. The 2nd book is also good and the third Red Bones is excellent. I'm only sorry that there will only be four books in the series, but maybe she'll change her mind... Take care, Joanne

... in atmosphere when the protagonists are on the mainland. I definitely intend to get hold of the next book in the series, Red Bones. 4/5.

Red Bones and The Cruelest Month Both take place in April and in a country other than my own as detectives search for the murderer of a woman surrounded by a cast of interesting, small town people and are written by a woman

56. Red Bones by Ann Cleeves I love this mystery series which is set in the Shetland Islands, and hate to think that there will only be one more featuring Inspector Jimmy Perez and Sandy, his endearing underling. I really hope the author decides they are too rich with possibilities to leave ...

I just finished Ann Cleeves' third Shetland Island mystery, Red Bones. Excellent mystery in an unusual setting. I didn't notice any mention of "quartet" on this book so I'm hoping there will be more than four in the series.

"It seems an odd thing to say to a stranger." Red Bones by Ann Cleeves 'What is this about, Inspector?"

"I don't know. Does it really matter?" Red Bones by Ann Cleeves "Did Ronald have anything to drink while you were there?"

Reading Ann Cleeves' Red Bones, the third book in the Shetland Island Quartet, and enjoying it immensely.

I'm reading Red Bones, the third installment of Ann Cleeves' Shetland Island mysteries/thrillers. I haven't had a lot of time to read in the last few days so I need to get back to it. >101 teelgee - I hope you like The Housekeeper and the Professor. I loved it!

I just picked up Ann Cleeves' Red Bones, the third book in the Shetland Island quartet. I haven't read more than the first chapter, but I was happy to see a small map of the Islands included.

... Kath! yet again i am powerless in the face of your review and have no choice but to add (with great resignation), Red Bones to my wishlist. And since this is such a beautiful day and I've got a half day off to come home and watch the Men's tennis finals, I'm not even grumbling at my ...

Eighty-one of seventy-five: Red Bones by Ann Cleeves This is the third in what the publishers call The Shetland Islands Quartet in some places, A Shetland Islands Thriller in others. I hope that this betokens a realization on the part of Cleeves and her publishers that the series has the ...

... that her chirps set me to searching for the pod.... And now I really must catch up on my thread-reading and also review Red Bones.

>134 - Richard Dear - I'll stick my neck out here (hope it's not intrusive, but helpful) and post the link to Red Bones. http://www.librarything.com/work/7114526 Blasted servers get overloaded and d__n slow around here sometimes. Hard to hang in there when everything seems "hung up." Hard ...

... to a conclusion you'd already reached and were now impatiently awaiting my "aha!" moment. I am already in possession of Red Bones, and I am very much looking forward to seeing what you have planned for me next, but I am a little bit put out by this sense of magisterial disdain that I got ...
