( )Laugh out loud funny. I really like this one. Tacky, being different from the other penguins, decides to go surfing while they nap. And he ends up in Africa, where he's promptly picked up as an elephant who thinks he's a bouquet! Naturally, his odd behavior saves the day and he ends up home. What I love about this book is that the other penguins are clearly shown missing him while he's gone, not because he's useful to him (as so often is the storyline), but because he's Tacky. This book was written by the same author who wrote Tacky. It would be good to read to the class the day after we read tacky, because it is about tacky being in trouble. Tacky the exuberant penguin accidentally goes sailboarding and winds up on a tropical island, where he meets an elephant who demands proof of Tacky's identity. no reviews | add a review
