OK, it's pretty funny at times - if you were born in Sweden in the 70s - and there are a bunch of things that reverberate through your very soul when you read them, things you had forgotten about but now are brought to the surface and not only are you brought back in time to the events and the places, but even the people show up in your memory - people you had forgotten about long ago. So, yeah, it's a funny trip down memory lane. However, it gets a little long - especially when the authors decide to write page after page about the troubles with getting alcohol and the resulting messes. I drank when I was that age, but I can't remember putting that much effort in it. Also, it's very much written from the boys' perspective, so it doesn't wholeheartedly deal with girlhood which would appeal more to me. Apparently this was a TV-series originally, and I think I may have enjoyed that more.

Radarparet från TV har gett sig på att skriva en bok om hur det vara att växa upp under 80-talet. Och ibland är de helt otroligt träffsäkra. T ex deras begrepp för den tidens Sverige: "DDR-Sverige". Det är så exakt, men ändå (tror jag) så internt att BARA vi som växt upp just då hajjar vad de menar. En annan höjdpunkt är deras beskrivning av DDR-Sveriges slut och ingången till "det nuvarande Sverige", och att detta till stor del var orsakat av Gunde Svan och Jack Killian! Brilliant!

En del saker hade de väl också missat? Domus fotbollsskola; Gyllene Tider eller Noice; Yamaha DT eller Zündapp osv...

Jag måste säga att jag hade förväntat mig en betydligt sämre skrift av dessa effektsökerivirtouser ("100 höjdare", "High Chaparal"), så jag blev positivt överraskad av deras förmåga att skriva flytande och underhållande texter i bokform. Fast det är klart att det ÄR snuttifierat. Och visst - effektsökerit finns där. Men inte riktigt så uttalat som jag hade trott. ( )
