About meI'm a bookaholic and author. Sort of a chicken and egg situation, really.

I could stare at my graphical shelf forever. It's scary.

About my libraryHeavy on retro prescriptive literature. Otherwise, completely out of control.

How delightful to know someone paid to read my Funny Face nostalgia! I was living in San Francisco myself, around that time - now I'm in Portland, Oregon, where Powell's also has a bountiful offering of offbeat magazines and journals.
I'm curious to know how you acquired a copy of Pop Void issue #1, in which I contributed an article. Not my best work, but it was fun to write. I wasn't expecting any other LTers to have copies!
I love your books/column/Mystery Date zine! Keep up the good work!
Hi, I'm midway through College Girls, and I think its a wonderful book. I can't wait to finish it. Keep up the good work, you rock!
Hi there! I just finished College Girls and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. In particular, I'll be thinking about the young women who had eating clubs and looked forward to gaining weight for a long, long time. Thank you!
The Museum of Femorabilia is my favorite part of BUST--thanks for providing such fun pieces.
I loved College Girls - very well-written and well-researched
I love Pink Think and have assigned it in my Women's Studies classes this semester. I'm really looking forward to College Girls!
May I repay the compliment? When I first started reading 'zines, your publications exemplified what could be accomplished in a zine format: diligent research revealed through witty writing and keenly insightful analysis. I happily and effectively incorporated your materials into the queer- and gender-politics classes that I taught during the mid-to-late 1990's. Your work was quite illuminating but also demonstrated how they themselves could potentially research, critique or otherwise engage with cultural materials around them. If I ever resume teaching, I could readily imagine employing your Pink Think book, though I see from your website, you have another text forthcoming that would even more directly appeal to my students. In sum, thank you for all that you have taught me and many, many others.
