About meI just graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in Linguistics and Near Eastern Language and Civilization. I am currently trying to figure out what the hell I am doing with my life and obtain some sort of gainful employment.

I'm glad you're enjoying them! I must admit I couldn't comprehend all your interests, but I knew that these were good books, and given your interest in linguistics would probably hit the mark. Merry christmas!
Noticed you liked Fight Club, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed bunch of kids and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

I'm so glad you like it! It's a little silly, but so much fun.

I know, we really have a bizarre amount in common--in case you couldn't guess, I was a linguistics major myself. Would have liked to get you something cool and language-related too, but so hard to find anything really worthwhile that isn't wayyy over the limit. Have a great holiday!
Lin-Z;
Thanks so much for the SantaThing books! I read Tess of the D'Urbervilles ions ago and it will be good to re-read with a new perspective and I really don't know anything about Palace Walk, but I'm looking forward to finding out more...

Thanks Again! Have a lovely holiday season!

Hi!

I’m sending this note because you are a member of the Seattleites group.

A few of us are starting a book club and I hope that you will consider joining us.

Our first book is In the Woods by Tana French. Our first meeting will be on Thursday, October 2nd, at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park.

See our thread called Book Clubs? on the Seattleites group or you can reply to me if you want more info.

Thanks - Carol
